Student Scholarships,
Kyebanda, Uganda

Every year Innovations Housing provides full-ride scholarships for about 200 low-income students to attend the Rosanna Junior School in Kyebando, Uganda. Innovations Housing partnered with Water and Stone to construct the school using an appropriate technology.

Lion Conservation,
Kenya

Innovations Housing supports Lion Landscapes and Dr. Alayne Oriol-Cotterill’s research of large carnivores in Kenya. Lion Landscapes’ pragmatic programs support the coexistence of lions, people and livestock while Dr. Oriol-Cotterill’s research measures the impact of conservation programs.

Elephant Conservation,
Kenya

Innovations Housing supports the Mara Elephant Project in Kenya. The Mara Elephant Project’s pragmatic programs support the coexistence of elephants, people and livestock. Marc Goss and his team also pioneered the use of technology to protect endangered wildlife and mitigate human / wildlife conflict.

Safari Doctors,
Kenya

Innovations Housing supports Safari Doctors, a social enterprise founded by Umra Omar in Kenya. Their team of doctors and nurses sail to remote villages along the coast of Kenya near the boarder with Somalia to provide much needed medical care.

Resource Centres,
Nairobi, Kenya

Innovations Housing, in partnership with the STARS Foundation, Architecture for Humanity and the Good Earth Trust constructed two SIDAREC community centres in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, using an appropriate technology. SIDAREC, or Slums Information Development and Resource Centres, is an acclaimed non-governmental organization that provides social services to slum communities.

Parklet,
Redding, California, USA

Innovations Housing constructed a public parklet in downtown Redding. The parklet was designed by architect Ryan Russell and includes a bicycle repair stand, bicycle rack, benches and landscaping.

Affordable Homes,
City of Shasta Lake, California, USA

Innovations Housing partnered with Habitat for Humanity Shasta Cascade to construct two affordable homes in the City of Shasta Lake.

Mixed-Use Building,
Redding, California, USA

Innovations Housing built a mixed-use building on an in-fill lot in downtown Redding. The building was designed by architect Terry Topolski and included two affordable apartments, a coffee bar and an office for Innovations Housing.

Brick-Making, East Africa

Innovations Housing partnered with low-income entrepreneurs to establish social enterprises in East Africa. Innovations Housing provided the business model, start-up capital and training. The entrepreneurs went on to make and sell interlocking stabilized soil bricks - an appropriate and sustainable technology. The bricks are used to build homes, businesses, schools, etc.
